The Hostýn Hills [ Mountains ]
The Hostýn Hills were named after its distinctive peak and place of pilgrimage, Hostýn -735 m above sea level, above Bystřice pod Hostýnem. Although the mountain range does not rise to the height and dimensions of other mountain massifs in our country, it is sought after by nature lovers mainly from the regions of Zlín and Kroměříž. In summer the Hostýn Hills tempt the visitors both with their undemanding hiking trails and cycle paths of all difficulties for mountain bikes. In winter the visitors can enjoy downhill skiing in the resorts such as Troják and Tesák, as well as cross-country skiing along the long ridges with little difference in elevation. All year round the Hostýn Hills are open for those who seek after lonely walks in the vast woods or in the sunny meadows with scattered Wallachian cottages.
